The low grape yields of the vines in 2020 helped us produce a dark ruby, brooding version of Sangiovese this vintage. Notes of cocoa-dusted strawberry, tobacco, leather, and root beer jump out of the glass. The wine sips smoothly with fine-grained tannins and flavors of smoky bramble berries. Candied cherries and vanilla on the lingering finish make it an excellent after-dinner drink or to be paired with hearty Italian dishes like osso bucco. 82% Sangiovese, 18% Alicante Bouschet.
